Founded in 1992 with the goal of providing cost effective solution focused demolition for our clients throughout New Zealand.
Based in Christchurch, Southern Demolition is the leading supplier of demolition services, rejuvenated timber, and crushed concrete in the city, and the South Island. Southern Demolition and Salvage Ltd is a family owned and operated company, which believes collaboration and teamwork are essential to achieving any project.

Our Experiences
Over our years of history we have handled a wide range of contracts throughout New Zealand. Projects as diverse as; stripping the fire damaged Christchurch Waste Water treatment Plant, to demolishing the old Palmerston North Hospital.
Cost-effective solutions to complex projects
With our wide range of complex and specialised plant and machinery, Southern Demolition is able to deliver cost-effective solutions for the most complicated demolition projects. We have an extensive fleet of demolition machinery. Our equipment ranges from 12 to 105 tonne excavators, and includes three high-reach diggers and a full concrete crushing plant.
The depth of our resources and expertise enables us to handle difficult and unforeseen challenges.
As founding members of the New Zealand and Asbestos Association of New Zealand and Canterbury Safety Charter we have helped shape the demolition industry for the last 31 years.
